Bad news for Tottenham fans emerged today, despite the team's sensational 4-0 away victory over Manchester City this weekend.
Details: Spurs' main goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario has suffered a broken right ankle and underwent surgery today.
The exact recovery timeline for the Italian goalkeeper has not been disclosed, but typically, injuries of this nature require at least two months of rehabilitation.
In Vicario’s absence, 36-year-old Fraser Forster, his backup, will take over in goal. This season, Forster has already featured in two Europa League matches and one FA Cup game.
Reminder: Tottenham is also without their key central defender, Micky van de Ven, due to injury.
