Tottenham set to trigger Eze's release clause

It seems Tottenham have come to terms with the fact that Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo won't be making the move to North London, and have started searching for equally high-profile targets.
Details: According to The Mirror, the Spurs are preparing to trigger the release clause in Crystal Palace's Eberechi Eze's contract, which stands at £68 million.
In fact, Eze is considered a backup option not only for Mbeumo—who looks set to join Manchester United—but also for Bournemouth's Antoine Semenyo. The Cherries are expected to demand a fee that Tottenham would deem excessive.
Reminder: Eze's potential arrival could also pave the way for the departure of captain Son Heung-min, who is attracting strong interest from several Saudi Arabian clubs that highly value the Korean forward.
