Tottenham Secure €63m Deal for Ghana Star Mohammed Kudus
Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of Ghanaian forward Mohammed Kudus in one of the standout deals of the 2025 summer transfer window. Spurs agreed a fee of around £55 million (€63m) with West Ham United, making Kudus the most expensive Ghanaian player ever.
Kudus rose from Ghana’s Right to Dream Academy and built his reputation at Ajax, scoring 27 goals in 87 games and winning multiple Eredivisie titles. His impressive 2023/24 debut Premier League season with West Ham—marked by his powerful runs and spectacular goals—placed him firmly on the radar of top clubs, even though his second campaign was less prolific.
The move is particularly notable because it is the first transfer between West Ham and Tottenham since 2011, emphasising Spurs’ determination to secure the 25-year-old. Kudus said one of the biggest attractions was new Tottenham manager Thomas Frank, praising “the project and how the manager perceives that I can develop under him…”.
At Tottenham, Kudus is expected to add pace, flair and one-on-one brilliance to the attack. His ability to beat defenders and create moments of individual magic makes him a key part of Spurs’ plans as they push for European success.
