Tottenham push to appoint Roberto De Zerbi immediately
Tottenham have dismissed head coach Igor Tudor just 44 days after his appointment, and have already identified their preferred successor—whom they are eager to bring in without delay.
Details: According to insider Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham’s hierarchy are currently pushing Roberto De Zerbi to take over the club immediately. While he had always been the leading candidate for a summer appointment, Spurs are now insisting on accelerating the process and securing him right away.
They view De Zerbi as the ideal figure to build a long-term project.
We previously reported that Tottenham Hotspur could make a surprise move by handing the reins to Ben Davies. The club is exploring the possibility of appointing the 32-year-old Welshman—currently an active Spurs player—as interim head coach until the end of the season.
Reminder: Tudor managed the London club for just seven matches, recording only one win and suffering five defeats. After 31 rounds, Tottenham sit 17th in the Premier League table, just one point above the relegation zone.
