Tottenham is considering making a move to hijack Brighton's talented midfielder Carlos Baleba from Manchester United.
Details: According to CaughtOffside, the Spurs have stepped up their interest after the 21-year-old Cameroonian experienced a slight dip in form, which began following Manchester United’s summer attempts to sign him.
However, despite the player’s temporary struggles, Brighton remains firm on their hefty valuation: the club sees Baleba as a €100 million asset and has no intention of lowering the price tag.
The Red Devils still consider Baleba a priority target, though they are simultaneously exploring other options such as Elliot Anderson and João Gomes. As it stands, Manchester United and Tottenham appear to be the main contenders for the Cameroonian midfielder.
This season, Baleba has made fifteen appearances for Brighton across all competitions, but has yet to register a goal or assist.
Reminder: Manchester United is also showing interest in Borussia Dortmund striker Serhou Guirassy.
