Tottenham enters battle with Barcelona for Serie A defender Tottenham enters battle with Barcelona for Serie A defender

The director of Tottenham, Johan Lange, personally attended the match between the Italian clubs Genoa and Juventus (1-1) on Friday, December 15. According to journalist Fabrizio Romano's social media post, Tottenham is keeping an eye on the performance of the Romanian defender Radu Dragusin, who plays for Genoa.

It's worth noting that Barcelona had previously shown interest in Dragusin as they seek a replacement for Ronald Araujo.

Radu Dragusin moved to Genoa from Juventus in the summer transfer window for €5.5 million. Over the past year, the player's market value has significantly increased, currently estimated at €20 million, according to statistics from the Transfermarkt portal, whereas just a year ago, it was valued at €3.5 million.

Radu Dragusin was nurtured at the Romanian club Regal from Bucharest, which interestingly serves as a branch of Atletico Madrid in Romania. In 2018, he joined the Juventus academy for which they paid €250,000. He featured for Juventus' youth teams, including U19 and U21. In the 2020/21 season, he made his debut for the first team, though he played only three matches, notably two against Genoa. He then experienced loan spells at Sampdoria, Salernitana, and Genoa. Following a year with the "Grifoni," the Romanian defender signed a contract with them, which runs until the summer of 2027.
