Tottenham consider reviving interest in Marseille’s Algerian striker
Amine Gouiri is reportedly one of Spurs’ options for the winter transfer window.
The Premier League side had already considered signing the Algerian international during the last summer transfer window, but the move did not go through. With the winter transfer window approaching, sources suggest that Tottenham could reignite their interest in the Marseille forward.
According to Ekrem Konur, Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi has asked to bring in Amine Gouiri to provide additional attacking options. However, no official approach has yet been made to sign the Algerian international. Before making a formal approach for Gouiri, Tottenham will first need to resolve their current attacking situation.
The 26-year-old Algerian striker is under contract with Marseille until June 2029. This contractual situation could put the Marseille club in a strong position in negotiations should Tottenham decide to make a move.
Amine Gouiri has personally enjoyed an impressive start to the season with Marseille in Ligue 1. The Algerian striker has scored five goals and provided two assists in eight appearances this season.
