Tottenham begin talks with Mauricio Pochettino amid deep crisis
Tottenham have started the search for a new permanent head coach.
Details: Following the dismissal of Thomas Frank, during whose tenure the team went on an eight-match winless streak, Igor Tudor was appointed as interim head coach. However, according to Football Insider, the Spurs’ management has already identified its top summer target—and it’s a name that’s very familiar to supporters: Mauricio Pochettino.
It’s reported that Tottenham have already held preliminary talks with the Argentine manager, who is currently in charge of the United States national team. Pochettino’s recent appearance in London has only fueled the speculation, although his visit was officially attributed to personal reasons.
It’s worth noting that Croatian specialist Igor Tudor will take charge of his first match tomorrow, February 22, against Arsenal. Kick-off is scheduled for 17:30 Central European Time.
Reminder: Ahead of the Arsenal clash, Tottenham trained with just 13 players.
