Italian Chelsea midfielder Cesare Casadei has agreed to join Italian Torino. According to the latest information from Gianluca Di Marzio, the negotiations between the clubs are gaining momentum and are in an active stage.
The 21-year-old, who plays for the Italian youth team (U21), has attracted interest from a number of clubs, including Napoli, Lazio and Monza. However, it was Torino who managed to take the lead in the fight for the player in the winter transfer window.
The parties are still discussing the details of the deal. Chelsea value Casadei at 20 million euros and insist on the inclusion of a buyout clause in the contract. In turn, Torino offered 12 million euros with the possibility of receiving a percentage of the subsequent sale.
Although the parties have not yet reached a final agreement, Casadei’s desire to return to Italy has become an important factor in advancing the negotiations.
