Top scorer of the COSAFA Cup set to move to a top-15 UEFA league

The COSAFA Cup has come to a close, giving a host of footballers the chance to showcase their talents—not just in front of national team coaches, but also scouts from some of Europe's respectable leagues.

Details: According to Weszło, the top scorer of the recent COSAFA Cup, Depu, is set to join Polish side Radomiak. Poland's Ekstraklasa is currently ranked among the top 15 leagues in the UEFA coefficient. Depu's current club, Gil Vicente of Portugal, will receive a guaranteed €100,000 for the transfer, with an additional €100,000 available in performance bonuses. The deal also includes a percentage of any future resale.

Negotiations for Depu's transfer took place right during his COSAFA Cup campaign, where he netted eight goals in five matches and was named the tournament's best player.

Reminder: Earlier, South Africa's COSAFA Cup head coach Vela Khumalo expressed hope that the tournament would assist senior national team coach Hugo Broos in his search for new talent.
