Top duo. Alcaraz and Nadal triumph in their first doubles match at the Olympics
The men's doubles tennis tournament has begun at the Olympic Games. On Saturday, July 27, Carlos Alcaraz and Rafael Nadal played against Molteni and Gonzalez.
For the Spaniards, the match was quite challenging. They managed to take the first set, but only in a tiebreak, winning 7-4 after one hour and three minutes. The second set saw an incredible comeback from the pair Alcaraz/Nadal. The Argentinians led 3-0, but the Spaniards fought back to 3-3.
Molteni and Gonzalez took the lead again at 4-3, but Rafa and Carlos leveled the score once more and didn't relinquish control, winning three consecutive serves to take the set 6-4. Ultimately, the Spanish duo secured a hard-fought 2-0 victory and advanced to the next round.
