The world’s best cyclists have already begun preparing for the new season, but for Belgium’s Remco Evenepoel, today’s training session took an unfortunate turn.
Details: According to HLN, Evenepoel was involved in a road accident during a training session in his home country.
The severity of the injuries sustained by the 24-year-old is still unknown, but he is reportedly conscious and has already spoken to his parents.
Evenepoel’s father revealed that the cyclist collided with the open door of a postal van. While doctors have yet to provide a full diagnosis, the Belgian is experiencing pain in his shoulder.
