"Too early." Erling Haaland expresses his condolences over the death of Diogo Jota

Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has responded to the tragic news from Spain, where Liverpool player Diogo Jota lost his life in a car accident last night. The Norwegian posted a message in his Instagram story.
Haaland shared a black-and-white photo of Jota, captioning it, "RIP, Diogo, way too early," accompanied by a dove and praying hands emoji.

Haaland and Jota were fierce rivals on the pitch, frequently facing off in clashes between Manchester City and Liverpool, making the Portuguese forward's untimely passing all the more poignant for the Norwegian star.
It's worth noting that the car crash also claimed the life of Diogo Jota's younger brother, Andre, who was in the vehicle with him. Just ten days prior to the tragedy, the Portuguese had married; he and his wife were also raising three children together.
In the past season, Jota celebrated winning the Premier League title with Liverpool and also lifted the Nations League trophy with the Portugal national team.
