Tom Saintfiet unveils the Mali Eagles squad for the international break

The squad, published on Wednesday 25 March, is notable for the absence of several key players from the Mali national team.

Around twenty Malian players will not be taking part in the international friendly against Russia on Tuesday 31 March 2026 at the Gazprom Arena in Saint Petersburg. Yves Bissouma, Lassine Sinayoko, El Bilal Touré, Amadou Haïdara, Sikou Niakaté, Néné Dorgeles, Djigui Diarra, Hamari Traoré, Mamadou Sangaré, Woyo Coulibaly, Kamory Doumbia, Mohamed Camara, Lassana Coulibaly, amongst others, have all withdrawn for various reasons, the Malian Football Federation has announced.
