Tolu Arokodare's Header Helps Ajax Beat AZ Alkmaar for the First Time Since 2022

Nigeria striker Tolu Arokodare continues his brilliant goal-scoring form, scoring Ajax's only goal in a 1-0 win over AZ Alkmaar at the Johan Cruijff Arena.

The Super Eagles forward headed home in the ninth minute to secure all three points for Ajax and end their 11-game winless run against AZ. It was also their first victory over the Alkmaar side since March 2022.

Tolu Arokodare has now recorded six Eredivisie goals and an assist since joining the club on loan from Wolverhampton in the summer.

The result sees Ajax climb back to second place, one point behind Feyenoord, after the leaders dropped points earlier that day.
