Tolu Arokodare Opens Door to Permanent Ajax Move After Atalanta Win - "I'm open to it"
Nigerian international Tolu Arokodare has opened the door to joining Ajax on a permanent deal from Wolverhampton.
Tolu Arokodare scored the opener and provided an assist in Ajax's Thursday night 2-0 Conference League win over Atalanta.
Ajax signed Tolu on a loan deal from Wolverhampton Wanderers until the summer of 2027, with an option to buy.
Speaking in his post-match conference when De Telegraaf journalist Mike Verweij asked about his future, Arokodare was initially cautious when asked about the possibility of staying in Amsterdam beyond his loan spell. Tolu said, "That's between Ajax and Wolves; I can't say anything about it."
Pressed by Verweij on whether he would be open to a permanent move, Tolu made his feelings clear: "Of course I'm open to it. I love it here. I love being here. The people are amazing, the fans are amazing, the team is amazing, the club is amazing, and you're all amazing. But William is even nicer," he joked.
