Bayer's management has run out of patience with their current head coach.
Details: According to renowned and reputable journalist and insider Patrick Berger on his social media page X, the Leverkusen Bayer board has decided to dismiss 54-year-old Danish head coach Kasper Hjulmand at the end of the season.

Reports suggest that Hjulmand's dismissal is inevitable, and Bayer has already identified former Flamengo manager Filipe Luís as the leading candidate for the head coach role.
Besides Filipe Luís, Bayer's management is also keeping Girona's Míchel on their radar.
Kasper Hjulmand took charge of Bayer in September 2025 and has overseen 47 matches, securing 24 wins, 11 draws, and 12 defeats. Currently, Bayer sits sixth in the Bundesliga and faces the real risk of missing out on next season's Champions League—a potential disaster for the club.
