Ronaldo’s last dance with Portugal could unfold as soon as today.

Details: Cristiano Ronaldo may call time on his international career with Portugal immediately after the 2026 World Cup. This was hinted at by his sister, Katia Aveiro, who suggested that this tournament might be the legendary forward’s final appearance in the national team jersey.

"Enjoy it while it lasts. It will soon be over. According to information I received from a reliable source... this is his last dance," she said on SportTV.

Moreover, the farewell to the national team could happen today. If Portugal falls to Croatia and exits the World Cup, this match would mark the end of the 41-year-old striker’s international journey.

Throughout his years with the national team, Ronaldo has become its iconic figure, setting records for most appearances and goals scored, and helping Portugal clinch the 2016 European Championship and the Nations League title.

As of now, Ronaldo has netted 145 goals in 231 appearances for Portugal.
