A string of setbacks has put Emery's managerial position in jeopardy.

Details: According to Topskills Sports UK, Aston Villa's management will meet with head coach Unai Emery tomorrow to discuss the manager's future with the club.

It is reported that a run of poor results in the Premier League has seriously undermined the board's trust in Emery, and after the recent defeat to Manchester United, tension has gripped the club.

The Aston Villa hierarchy fears Emery may not be able to turn things around, which threatens to push the club out of the Champions League spots—a blow that would seriously impact Aston Villa's financial stability.

If the team fails to qualify for the Champions League next season, the club may have to say goodbye to Emiliano Martínez, Ollie Watkins, Morgan Rogers, and Jacob Ramsey.

At the moment, Aston Villa sit fourth in the league with 51 points from 30 matches, but Liverpool are hot on their heels, trailing by just two points.

If tomorrow's meeting between the board and Emery ends without a breakthrough, Aston Villa could have a new head coach by the end of the week.

Unai Emery took charge of Aston Villa in 2022. Under his leadership, the team has played 182 matches, recording 100 wins, 32 draws, and 50 defeats.

His current contract with Aston Villa runs until the summer of 2029.
