Tiger Woods will become Vice Chairman of PGA TOUR Enterprises. What are his responsibilities

The legendary American golfer Tiger Woods has been appointed to the board of directors of PGA Tour Enterprises.

As reported by PGA, Commissioner Jay Monahan has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the group. Joining him on the board of directors are several golf players - Patrick Cantlay, Peter Malnati, Adam Scott, Webb Simpson, and Jordan Spieth. Alongside them, the legendary Tiger Woods will work.

Woods has been appointed as the Vice Chairman of the newly formed PGA Tour Enterprises company. It is reported that they will focus on fan engagement and growth, as well as the development of new media, sponsorship, and commercial opportunities.

"Our role on the Board of Enterprises will be to listen to the ideas of player directors and work with them to ensure the commercial growth of the sport in a way that creates the best possible product for fans.

We all in the Strategic Sports Group see a bright future for the PGA TOUR, and the creation of the Entrepreneurs' Board is an important first step in realizing that future," said John Henry, Strategic Sports Group manager.

Overall, 13 individuals have been appointed to the board of directors.

Golfer Tiger Woods has received a prestigious award from the United States Golf Association. The American won the Bob Jones Award for his dedication to sportsmanship and respect for the traditions of golf.
