Three Senegalese players in the running for the Marc-Vivien Foe Award
Moussa Niakhate, Lamine Camara and Bamba Dieng
The 11 finalists for this award, which recognises the best African footballer in France’s Ligue 1, have now been announced.
The finalists were revealed this Thursday 9 April 2026. The 11 footballers in the running have stood out for their performances since the start of the 2025–2026 season. The winner of the 2026 edition of this award, which has been presented since 2009 in honour of the former Cameroonian international Marc-Vivien Foe, who died during a match in France in 2003, will soon be announced. Among the nominees are Senegalese players Moussa Niakhate, Lamine Camara and Bamba Dieng.
