Three Real Madrid players handed two-match bans
The previous La Liga clash between Real Madrid and Celta saw multiple red cards shown to the players of the Royal Club. It is now clear how many matches each of them will miss.
Details: According to Marca, Real Madrid forward Endrick has been suspended for two league fixtures for protesting against the referees. Carreras and Carvajal have also received two-match bans for disrespectful or disparaging behaviour towards the match officials.
Real Madrid will face Alavés in their next La Liga match on Sunday, 14 December, followed by Sevilla on 20 December. In addition, on 17 December, Los Blancos will take on Talavera in the Copa del Rey.
For the record, the Spanish coach has become the fastest Real manager to suffer two Champions League defeats, reaching that mark in just six matches. The previous quickest was Santiago Solari.
Reminder: The fate of Real’s head coach Xabi Alonso became clear after his team’s 2–1 defeat to Manchester City in Matchday 6 of the Champions League.
