Three players Nasreddine Nabi wants to keep for the next period! Nasreddine Nabi

Reports close to Kaizer Chiefs have revealed that Tunisian coach Nasreddine Nabi wants to keep three players for next season despite the club's desire to sign new names, but it seems that the Tunisian expert wants to stabilise the team.

The three players Kaizer Chiefs will keep!

In February this year, news broke that Kaizer Chiefs had retained South American midfielder Edson Castillo.

Castillo's contract was due to expire in June, but Amakhosi (the club's nickname) offered him a two-year deal which he accepted.

This means he will remain at the Chiefs at least until June 2027, unless the coaching staff make another decision.

In March, speedy striker Ashley du Preez confirmed the signing of a new two-year contract with "The Action Girl" (the club's nickname).

Like Castillo, the former Stellenbosch player will remain in Naturaena (the club's home base) until June 2027.

Although du Preez has struggled for regular minutes under coach Nasreddin Nabi this season, he remains an important figure in the team.

The third player to renew his contract is captain Youssef Maarat.

As reported by The South African, Amakhosi has activated the extension clause in Maart's original contract.

Maart will remain at Chiefs next season, and in addition, both parties have agreed to another extension for an additional season (2026-2027).

Maart has made 90 appearances for the Soweto giants, scoring six goals and assisting eight others.
