Three contenders emerge as Orlando Pirates leader Saleng nears club change

One of the leading players of South Africa's Orlando Pirates, Monnapule Saleng, is on the verge of leaving his current team.
Details. According to media reports, the forward and the club are nearing the end of their joint story. The Saleng saga has been dragging on for more than three months following the player's salary demands, which Orlando Pirates have yet to accept.
A move seems highly likely during the off-season, as three unnamed clubs are eager to acquire him. It is noted that one of them has been tracking the 27-year-old player for several seasons.
As for the unsuccessful acquisition of Pirates Gilberto, it seems he is not expected back from his loan at Petro Atletico, to which he returned five months after joining the top South African club.
All indications are that Angola's Petro Atletico will fully buy out the Brazilian's contract.
Reminder. Saleng has been playing for Orlando Pirates since 2021. He has 10 appearances for the South African national team. Gilberto joined the South African side in the summer but failed to make an impact and returned on loan to Petro Atletico.
