At the end of the 2023/24 season, central defender Mats Hummels decided not to extend his contract with Borussia Dortmund and is now seeking a new option to continue his career.

Insider Nicolo Schira reports that three clubs are vying for the player's signature: Bologna, West Ham, and Brighton. These three teams are currently in the race for the defender. Mats Hummels has already rejected several offers from Ajax, Benfica, Lille, Monaco, Bayer Leverkusen, and two Saudi clubs.

The Borussia Dortmund legend, Mats Hummels, may continue his career with the German champions.

The 35-year-old Hummels left Borussia Dortmund this summer. The experienced center-back played a total of 508 matches for the "Bumblebees," scoring 38 goals and providing 23 assists.

In the recently concluded season, Borussia, with Hummels, reached the Champions League final, where they lost 2-0 to Real Madrid. Mats was named the best player in both semifinals against PSG, and throughout the season, he played 33 matches and scored 4 goals.
