Thomas Müller speaks out about his expiring contract with Bayern
Bayern legend Thomas Müller commented today on his contract, which is set to expire at the end of the current season.
Quote: “Bayern's future will not depend on whether I extend my contract or not. There are more important issues. This could be an important factor, but not a decisive one. I’ve made it fairly clear that my situation is uncertain,” the veteran was quoted as saying by Florian Plettenberg.
It was previously reported that Bayern is offering the experienced striker a new contract until 2026.
Reminder: The 35-year-old Müller has been with Bayern since 2000. He made his debut for the senior team in 2008.
By the way, Bayern's sporting director Christoph Freund recently commented on the negotiations with Joshua Kimmich regarding a new deal.
