Thomas Müller repeated a legendary record for Bayern Munich players

Bayern Munich forward Thomas Müller has equaled the record for the most Bundesliga appearances among players of the club.

The match against Hoffenheim in the 34th round of the Bundesliga marked the German winger's 473rd appearance in the national championship. Müller has matched the legendary goalkeeper Sepp Maier, who was previously the sole leader in this category.

Notably, the match against Hoffenheim did not go well for Bayern. Thomas Tuchel's team was leading by two goals early in the game but conceded four in response.

The Munich side ceded the second spot in the German championship to Stuttgart, finishing in third place overall.

It is worth mentioning that for the first time in 11 years, Bayern ended the season without winning any titles. The team finished third in the Bundesliga, lost to Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-finals, and was sensationally knocked out of the German Cup by third-division side Saarbrücken.
