Nigerian international Taiwo Awoniyi has played down speculation over his future, insisting he remains committed to Nottingham Forest. He scored in Forest’s 2-0 win over West Ham United, sealing the points with a composed solo finish at the City Ground. The goal was his first Premier League strike in over a year, following a difficult spell of injuries and limited minutes.
Reports had linked him with a Bundesliga return, but the striker was firm on his stance. “I have always believed this is where I want to be… I have always believed I am a Premier League player,” he said. He also praised manager Nuno Espírito Santo for helping him regain confidence.
