Lewandowski's final dance for the national team ended on a painfully somber note.

Details: After a last-gasp defeat to Sweden in the World Cup 2026 playoff qualifiers, 38-year-old Poland and Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski couldn't hold back his emotions and broke down in tears in front of the fans.

For Robert, this was an especially emotional and heartbreaking moment, as this could have been his last World Cup appearance. He is set to retire from international football soon and will no longer represent his country.

Poland fell 2-3, having twice come from behind during the match, but conceded a fatal third goal in the 88th minute, ending their World Cup dreams.

Lewandowski made his debut for the Polish national team back in 2008, going on to play 165 matches and score 89 goals, establishing himself as a true living legend of Polish football.
