"There's no one better." Neymar backed Vinícius in the race for the Ballon d'Or

The Ballon d'Or ceremony will take place very soon, on October 28. This morning, reports emerged that the winner will be Real Madrid winger Vinícius Júnior.

Fellow Brazilian winger Neymar voiced his support for the "Los Blancos" star, stating that no one else deserves the award.

Quote: "Of course, I will support Vinícius Junior to win the Ballon d'Or. There is no better candidate," Neymar told Marca.

Reminder: One of the factors indicating that Vinícius is a strong contender is that Nike has already ordered a special pair of golden boots for him, which he will wear a few days after the ceremony.

One of Vinícius’ main rivals, Manchester City midfielder Rodri, recently suffered a serious ACL injury, ruling him out for the remainder of the season, which may influence the final voting.

A total of 30 players are in contention for the 2024 Ballon d'Or, with Lionel Messi being the current holder of the award.
