"There's no greater feeling". Hamilton emotionally commented on his triumph at British Grand Prix

Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton secured an unexpected victory at the British Grand Prix, his first win in 945 days.

The British racer emotionally reflected on this significant achievement.

"Since 2021, every day I've been waking up and fighting to train, to focus on the task, and to work as hard as I can with this amazing team.

This is my last race here at the British Grand Prix with this team. I wanted to win it for them so badly because I love them and appreciate them so much.

All the hard work they have put in over the years. I am forever grateful to everyone at Mercedes and all our partners. And to all our incredible fans. I could see you lap after lap. There's nothing better than finishing first here," Hamilton said after the race.

Hamilton's victory marks his first since the penultimate round of the 2021 season in Saudi Arabia. It is his 104th win in Formula 1, further extending his own record.
