There a conflict brewing? Real did not want to let Mbappe go to the national team

France's head coach Didier Deschamps has announced the national team squad for the Nations League matches against Italy and Belgium. As expected, Real Madrid's star forward Kylian Mbappé has made the list.

According to RMC Sport, the Madrid club was not keen on releasing Kylian to the national team and wanted him to rest during the Nations League games.

Real Madrid hoped that as many players as possible who participated in Euro 2024 would rest during the international break. The injuries to Eduardo Camavinga and Jude Bellingham have drawn attention from the “Merengues” staff. Carlo Ancelotti also recently spoke out publicly against congested schedules.

However, this did not affect the French Football Federation, and Mbappé received a call-up for the September matches.
