Young Nigerian forward Gift Orban is likely to leave Lyon during the current transfer window.

According to France Football, Lyon has already begun negotiations with Brest regarding Orban's potential transfer. The 22-year-old player has struggled to meet expectations, prompting the club to consider a loan move.

Orban is keen to remain in Ligue 1, and Brest is an attractive option for him, as the team sensationally qualified for the Champions League last season.

Gift Orban joined Lyon from Gent in the winter for €14 million. In 13 Ligue 1 matches, he scored only 1 goal, but he netted 2 goals in 3 French Cup games. He started in just 5 Ligue 1 matches.
