WWE had to interrupt a match live on air yesterday after a terrifying accident between Austin Theory and Carmelo Hayes. Fans were concerned for both wrestlers after a horrific fall from the top rope on the SmackDown show. The referee instantly stopped the match, and medical staff entered the ring.

The frightening moment occurred when Theory attempted a modified Spanish Fly off the top rope to Hayes. However, they collided heads upon landing, and both ended up crashing down onto the mat, clashing heads again. Replays showed that Theory seemed to have the worst impact on landing.

Commentators tried to continue the show while emphasizing the message for viewers not to attempt what they see in the ring themselves.

After the show, WWE provided an update on social media, stating that both wrestlers were examined by doctors and underwent necessary tests. They were diagnosed with severe facial contusions, both suffering bruises, but both will be okay.
