The Paris 2024 Olympics are about to start, and for some legendary athletes, this will be their last competition. Among them is British tennis player Andy Murray.

"Arrived in Paris for my last ever tennis tournament. Competing for Great Britaine have been by far the most memorable weeks of my career and I’m extremely proud to get do it one final time!", Murray wrote on his social media page on X.

Murray is a two-time Olympic champion, having won gold medals in 2012 and 2016.

He has also triumphed three times in Grand Slam tournaments and reached the top of the ATP world rankings in 2016. Unfortunately, the last few years of the 37-year-old Briton's career have been marred by injuries.

The opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympics will take place on Friday, July 26.
