On Wednesday, April 17th, the first leg of the AFC Champions League semi-final took place between Al-Ain and Al-Hilal.

In the sixth minute of the match, the team from the UAE took the lead. By the end of the first half, the scoreboard showed a commanding 3-0 lead. Despite playing as the second seed, the hosts left no chance for the Saudis. Immediately after the break, Al-Hilal reduced the deficit, but Al-Ain quickly responded with another goal.

As the match neared its conclusion, Al-Hilal scored another goal, but it wasn't enough to surpass the Saudis. Al-Ain emerged victorious over their opponents with a score of 4-2. Thus, Al-Hilal's winning streak, which lasted for 34 matches, officially came to an end.

The second leg between these opponents will take place next week, on April 23rd, in Saudi Arabia. It's worth noting that this match was initially scheduled for Tuesday, April 16th, but due to heavy rains in Dubai, it was postponed.
