The winner of the WTA-500 tournament in Berlin has been determined

On Sunday, June 23, the final of the WTA-500 tournament in Berlin took place. The winner of the competition was American Jessica Pegula, who started the tournament as the fifth seed.
In the final, Pegula defeated Russian Anna Kalinskaya, who competed under a "neutral" status.
The American claimed victory in three sets - 6:7(7), 6:4, 7:6(3). The match lasted 2.5 hours. Pegula secured the win with a tiebreak in the third set. Throughout the match, she committed two double faults and converted 6 out of 12 break points.
Earlier today, Pegula secured her spot in the final by defeating fellow American Coco Gauff (2:0) in a match that was delayed yesterday due to weather conditions.
For Pegula, this was only her second tournament after a two-month break due to a rib injury.
