Africa Sports Ventures Group has named the best "African Sportsman of the Month" for August.

Details: The award went to Botswana sprinter Letsile Tebogo, who was recognized for his historic and exceptional performances on the global athletics stage.

Tebogo won Africa's first-ever gold medal in the men's 200 meters sprint at the 2024 Paris Olympics. He also set an African record with a time of 19.46 seconds.

Additionally, Tebogo triumphed in the Diamond League 200-meter events in Lausanne and Silesia, as well as the 100 meters in Rome.

Reminder: Australian breakdancer Rachel Gunn, known as B-girl “Raygun,” topped the global breakdancing rankings despite a disappointing performance at the Paris Olympics.
