Renowned Spanish tennis player Garbiñe Muguruza has announced the end of her professional career at the age of 30. She played her last match over a year ago, in January 2023.

Muguruza has won two Grand Slam tournaments, claiming the titles at Roland Garros in 2016 and Wimbledon in 2017. She also held the top spot in the WTA singles rankings for four weeks from September 11 to October 8, 2017.

Throughout her career on the WTA circuit, Muguruza achieved 449 victories and suffered 238 defeats, resulting in a win percentage of 65.4. She also secured 10 singles titles. In September of last year, the tennis player expressed uncertainty about her return to the court, but officially announced her retirement only today.
