The upcoming matches could be decisive for Alonso, with Zidane considered as a replacement

Real Madrid drew 1–1 in their latest match against Girona, and speculation has once again resurfaced regarding the future of Xabi Alonso and a potential successor.

Details: According to Pepe Álvarez, Xabi Alonso has been given several matches to turn the situation around.

Florentino Pérez believes that if the club is ultimately forced to change direction and dismiss Xabi Alonso, the next head coach would be Zinedine Zidane, who would take charge of Real until the end of the season.

After the draw with Girona, Real Madrid have 33 points from 14 matches and currently sit second in the table, one point behind Barcelona.

Reminder: Kylian Mbappé noted that the match did not deliver the desired result. Still, the season is long, and the team must show its true character.
