From next season, the UEFA Champions League will adopt a new format for the draw, as reported by The Guardian.

It has been revealed that the new expanded format of the Champions League is so complex that the group stage draw will be conducted using a computer. UEFA has determined that without digital assistance, the draw could take up to four hours.

Furthermore, it is reported that the Round of 16 draw will be seeded. The top 8 teams will automatically advance to the knockout stage, while teams ranked 9th to 16th will compete in a playoff round with the teams ranked 17th to 24th. The Round of 16 draw itself will be conducted in a "tennis" style. Each team will see its path to the final, and the top two seeded teams will be separated into two halves.

It is worth noting that Dailysports has decided to delve into how the revamped UEFA Champions League tournament will impact clubs, the season calendar, and what changes are expected.
