The International Centre for Sports Research (CIES) has published a study in which it determined the top ten most expensive goalkeepers in the world.
The leaders are Borussia Dortmund's Gregor Kobel and Benfica Lisbon goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin. They are valued at 66 million euros.
Top 10 most expensive goalkeepers in the world according to CIES
- Gregor Kobel (Borussia Dortmund), Anatoliy Trubin (Benfica) - 66 million euros each;
- Diogo Costa (Porto) - 56 million euros;
- Gianluigi Donnarumma (PSG) - 53 million euros;
- Andre Onana (Manchester United) - 51 million euros;
- Bart Verbruggen (Brighton) - €47 million;
- Ederson (Manchester City) - €43 million;
- Andriy Lunin (Real Madrid) - €39 million;
- Mike Maigan (Milan), Giorgi Mamardashvili (Valencia) - 37 million euros each.
