“The Struggle for Survival Continues” – Kwara United Coach Ashifat Suleiman Reacts to Abia Warriors Defeat

Kwara United head coach Ashifat Suleiman has maintained a message of hope despite his side’s 1–0 loss to Abia Warriors on Sunday in Aba.

The narrow defeat leaves Kwara United in a difficult position, as they currently sit 18th in the relegation zone after a three-point deduction for crowd disturbances. The setback has increased the pressure on the team, but the coach insists the fight is far from over.

Reflecting on the result, Suleiman acknowledged the challenges facing his squad but emphasized that there are still valuable points to play for in the remaining fixtures.

“The struggle for survival continues. We still have 33 points to fight for. This is a difficult moment for us as a team, but we have the opportunity to survive the scare,” he said.

Kwara United will now turn their attention to a crucial home clash against Wikki Tourists.
