In the 2024 season, the titled Czech pair Barbora Krejcikova and Katerina Siniakova will not compete together.

Sinyakova announced this decision.

She admitted that this was her initiative, as she wanted change.

“We have reached an understanding and do not exclude the possibility of reunification in the future. I have no doubt that the break will be beneficial and we can come back even stronger,” she said.

At the same time, Krejcikova admitted that this news was unexpected for her, but she supported her partner’s decision.

Interestingly, the star couple has won 16 tournaments, including seven Grand Slam titles, the 2020 Olympic Games and the 2021 Finals.

They were also leaders in the world rankings in doubles.

It is worth noting that Siniakova and Krejcikova last week lost the decisive match in the semi-finals of the Billie Jean King Cup to the Canadian team, which ultimately celebrated victory in the tournament.
