Fenerbahçe has officially announced the signing of Mallorca forward Vedat Muriqi.
Details: The 32-year-old Kosovo national team striker has signed a three-year deal with the Turkish club. Earlier reports stated that the transfer fee would be €15 million.
This is a homecoming for Muriqi, who previously played for Fenerbahçe during the 2019/20 season.
The experienced striker was one of the top transfer targets for the club’s new president, Aziz Yıldırım.
Last season, Muriqi made 37 appearances for Mallorca, scoring 23 goals and providing one assist.
The Kosovan striker also finished second in the La Liga top scorer race, trailing only Kylian Mbappé. Fenerbahçe ended the season as runners-up in the Turkish Süper Lig and will compete in the Champions League qualifiers.
