The derby of the 30th round of the Portuguese championship between Sporting and Benfica will kick off later than originally scheduled.
It has been reported that the match at Alvalade Stadium has been pushed back to 18:15 local time due to a delay in the arrival of the Benfica team bus. The visiting side ran into major transport difficulties en route to the stadium after a traffic accident in Lisbon caused heavy congestion along the team's route.
Despite the incident, all Benfica players and staff arrived safely at the stadium. Organizers decided to slightly delay the kickoff to give both sides ample time to prepare for this high-stakes derby.
