The start date for the Super League has been set. When can we expect the tournament to begin?

The Champions League reform hasn’t swayed the Super League’s creators from moving forward with their project. Despite opposition from fans and UEFA, organizers are determined to proceed, and a launch date is now confirmed.

Details: According to AS, citing sources within the organization, the Super League aims to kick off in September 2025. Bernd Reichart, the CEO of the company promoting the Super League, mentioned that preparations are actively underway to ensure the tournament's launch.

Interestingly, Reichart pointed out that the recent European Court of Justice ruling in the Lassana Diarra vs. FIFA case referenced the Super League 35 times, which he believes undermines the monopoly of governing bodies.

Reminder: In December 2023, the European Court of Justice ruled that FIFA and UEFA’s attempts to block the Super League's formation violated EU law.
