Barcelona's sporting director, Joan Laporta, may attempt to convince head coach Xavi to remain with the team, as reported by SportEs.

It's been revealed that the Catalan club has formed a list of three to four coaches who meet the requirements and are willing to take charge of the team in the summer. However, the interview stage with them has not yet begun. The club believes it would be better to start the new season and cycle with a new coach, but the sporting director holds a different opinion.

Joan Laporta wants to monitor the team's progress under Xavi first. The president is keenly aware that he will have to try to persuade Xavi to stay if the team reaches the UEFA Champions League semifinals. It's worth noting that Barcelona will face PSG in the quarterfinals. In La Liga, Barça currently sits in second place, trailing Real Madrid by eight points.

Sport's publication outlined three conditions that could persuade Xavi to continue his collaboration with the team. Firstly, it would be victory over Real Madrid, both in El Clásico and in La Liga, as well as triumph in the Champions League.
