Midfielder Cole Palmer of Chelsea is reportedly close to signing a new contract with the London club, according to the Daily Star.

Sources indicate that the footballer is nearing a new deal with the Blues. Under this contract, his salary would increase from £75,000 per week to £150,000 per week.

In the quarter-final match of the FA Cup, Chelsea hosted Championship leaders Leicester at their home ground. The score was 2-2 until the 90th minute, but Chelsea managed to avoid extra time in stoppage time. Substitutes Chukwuemeka and Madueke secured the victory for the Blues.

Born in Manchester, Cole trained at Manchester City's football academy from the age of eight. He made his debut for City's first team on September 30, 2020, in a match against Burnley in the English Football League Cup. On September 1, 2023, he moved to Chelsea for £40 million, signing a seven-year contract with the Pensioners.
