The Senegalese Football Federation will not appeal the sanctions imposed by the CAF Disciplinary Board
The governing body of Senegalese football fully accepts the disciplinary sanctions.
The FSF says it officially acknowledges the decision handed down on 28 January 2026 by the Disciplinary Committee of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) following the incidents that occurred during the final of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
In a statement released on Saturday, 31 January, the Senegalese Football Federation confirmed that it accepts full financial responsibility for the fines imposed on the association itself, its technical staff and its players.
"The Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) hereby informs the national and international public that it has officially taken note of decision DC23315 issued on 28 January 2026 by the Disciplinary Board of the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
After analysing the decision, the FSF notified the continental body of its decision not to appeal the sporting and financial sanctions imposed on it. This waiver of appeal also applies to the individual disciplinary measures imposed on:
The national team coach, Mr Pape Bouna Thiaw;
The national team players, Mr Ismaïla Sarr and Mr Iliman Cheikh Baroy Ndiaye.
In accordance with the provisions of Article 91.4 of the CAF Disciplinary Code, the Senegalese Football Federation confirms that it assumes full financial responsibility for the fines imposed on its association, its technical staff and its players. "
